We unveil our Tanzania Single Origin coffee, a gem that resonates with the grace of Mbeya Region. Just as a perfect, ripe pear embodies nature, this medium-light roast captivates with the delicate symphony of pear, floral allure, the enchantment of jasmine, and the vibrant sweetness of strawberry.

Cultivated by small cooperative farmers in the Mbeya area, this coffee echoes the unity and dedication that defines the region. A dance of Bourbon and Kent varieties, much like the intricate choreography of a performance, creates a medley of flavors that mirror the land's essence.

From the heights of 1200 to 1900 meters, amidst clay minerals, this coffee captures the very spirit of Mbeya. Fully washed and lovingly sun-dried on raised beds, it's a tribute to craftsmanship and the embrace of the Tanzanian sun.

    Origin & partnership

Tanzania's coffee farming is over 90% small farmers organized into AMCOS (Agricultural Marketing Cooperative Societies). The regulations established in 2018 help these organized farmers pool resources and work towards a more consistent product with higher quality procedures. One of the AMCOS we typically work with for Bourbon varieties is WASA, which is female led by Chairperson Tumpe Mudhondwa. She is also the owner of the CPU and is providing WASA AMCOS with a pulper, tanks and drying tables. Learn more on the blog.
